History

In the year 1907 brothers Ernst, Ludwig and Hugo Müller established in Kalisz the factory “Brothers Müllers and Co.”. Since 1912, when August Girmes joined to the company, it has been producing pile fabrics.

1920 – 1939 – Edmund Geade was the main shareholder of the factory. Production assortment was increased to: corduroys, velveteen, furniture plush, plush for cars and railway, curtains, bedspreads, woolen rugs.


The factory developed further after the II Word War. The present production building was build in the year 1961. In 1969 the company name was changed to RUNOTEX. In the seventies the capacity reached over 8 000 000 running meters of woven and knitted fabrics per year.


At present Runotex is a Polish private owned company which produces woven and knitted fabrics for furniture, transportation, clothing, technical fabrics, decorative fabrics and many more products.
